Charles Frizzell. Magic and realism

Charles Frizzell was born in 1944 in western Kentucky, the state in the middle of the eastern half of the United States. After graduating from Murray State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Frizzell headed west, settling in Colorado in 1969, where he now lives and works. The city is known for its artistic atmosphere, the Royal Gorge of the Arkansas River, Bighorn Sheep canyon.

Perhaps that is why his works are filled with magic rituals, shamanism, the culture of Native Americans. He is very versatile in style, works with oil on canvas, also works with watercolor, pen and ink, graphite drawings, lithographs. Charles Frizzell is a member of the International Guild of Realism.
